You are 10 weeks baby Peanut!

Baby Peanut,

30 more weeks to go!

Last night Daddy Paul came home from his vacation and we were so happy!

He saw bisons, buffalo, snowmobiled, snowboarded, and had a blast. Funny how he would tell his story and then finish it will, "I took it easy because of I thought of you and peanut." He's so in love with you baby!

Did you love his story book reading last night? Thanks to cousin Lisa for the book by Dr. Seuss, "Oh baby! The places you'll go." I read it the other and totally cried my eyes out, then last night daddy read it to you, and I teared up again! Such a happy moment. We are so thrilled to have you.

He got you a little gift... Bibs! I love elephants, so he got you an elephant bib and sushi bib bc he loves sushi. It's gonna be so cute on you.

Lately been feeling good. Evenings are a bit rough with queasy feelings but overall I'm okay. I gained 1.4lbs. Haha and I swear my belly is starting to pop and round off. Uncle Jeff saw my belly and was so excited! It's finally real! He said he's gonna have to roll me over when I'm in my third trimester :)

Happy 10 weeks! We love you.

Baby Peanut..It is time to call you baby prune!

My dearest joy,

You're 9 weeks and 2 days!! You're the size of a prune!! My mom loved eating prunes, me eh not so much.

You have made this pregnancy a pleasant one. It's lent now so Fridays are fish day. Your daddy is in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and he texts me every morning saying hi to me and you, but is calling you Mason, so you're a boy right now :)

Can't wait to figure out who you will be, but we might make it a surprise. I'm not great on surprises but it would be fun. I hope you enjoyed my singing last night. I don't think you enjoyed the long high notes because you cut off my air flow but at least we fell asleep. I miss those singing days. Maybe having you will bring back my vocals and we can sing all sorts of songs everyday!!

This week, I came home from Miami with 2 packages at the door. Thank you to cousins, Cathy & Lisa, for the lovely gifts. It feels like Christmas! You're already so spoiled and loved. This makes my heart smile.

I could continue writing a novel today, but I will contain myself.

Mommy loves you! Everyone is excited! Xoxo

P.S: daddy if you're reading this, we miss you and have fun in the mountains and take lots of pictures. Baby peanut will be snowboarding with you one day soon.

Our last day in Miami

I guess the "emotional" pregnancy symptom kicked in. I had to lay out one more time before I depart for my flight. Everyday I'd lay and people watch. Today, there was this little boy in a spiderman swimsuit and he was so adorable. He wanted to jump over the ledge of the pool. He finally did into his daddy's arms and here is me... Observing and when he jumped in, I literally wanted to go "yay!" and clapped, but that would be embarrassing. Though all of a sudden, TEARS rush downy face. WTh? Right? Hahaha

It's funny how now when I look at kids, I'm thinking, I am having that in 7 months. Last night I had a dream of my baby girl. I wrapped her in toilet paper and walked around the store with her. Again toilet paper?? My brain is going crazy. Haha

Not really ready to leave Miami. Got to do a lot of me time and thinking. My whole pregnancy has been great! No sickness, nothing really bad, just sleepy.

Can't wait to be in Paul's arms tonight. Good bye Miami. See you again soon!

9 weeks in Miami

Dearest Baby Peanut,

We're in Miami! Are you enjoying the fresh ocean breeze and all the sleep we are getting? Are you enjoying the fresh fruits and juices?? It's so good! Might consider asking daddy to move to Miami. :)

Mommy decided to take a little vacation away from the nail fumes and cold weather. Auntie Nancy and cousin Lisa is with me and we are all enjoying a nice quiet getaway.

We got lots of cardio in from walking and lots of paddling in the water. And a very relaxing massage, which I think you enjoyed because I've had no more back pains :)
Today's my last day here and I leave tomorrow. Feeling amazing and so glad to have you at the this time.

Today you're the size of a green olive! You're getting so big. 31 weeks left to go. I can't wait. You've been a blessing and a joy to me.

Mommy loves you lots and daddy misses us muchos.

13 seems to be my lucky number

Dear Baby Peanut,

Mommy and daddy got married on Aug. 13th. If you asked me why the 13th? I would tell you to ask Ba Ngoai. Though she isn't here with us, there isn't a day I don't think of her. I miss my mama Hop.

So this morning, I had a dream of her. I was flying home to see your grandparents. Papa picked up the phone and asked me what time I was landing? I told him and then he gave the phone to my mom, your Ba Ngoai. Growing up, if I wasn't home for my birthday, she would call and always sing happy birthday to me. This time in my dreams, she was singing "congratulations" and then I woke up.

Oh baby, I wish you could have met her but I know she will always be with us. I have so many stories to tell you. She always knew how to make me smile. I hope I do the same for you because you have brought so much smile to my heart.

So today's the 13th. She always said that was my number. We'll see- I'm a bit superstitious haha! I love you. Please speed up the 7 months. I wanna spoil you already!

Love
Mommy Nee

Babies R Us ...

Friday after work, we had our first real stroll through the famous "Babies R Us" store. My!  Were we overwhelmed! Our intention was to shop for a friend, but we wandered around and checked out what Baby Peanut has in store.

 Awesome experience #1:
Front row parking! Every time I went shopping during Christmas holiday, I'd get so frustrated and wondered why they made these "expecting mother" parking spots. Oh wait that's me!! I got so excited that I got to park up front.

Awesome experience #2:

The Hubbie got to test out rocking chairs. While I searched the clothing dept., he was chilling with his iPhone.  I saw soooooo many cute dresses with RUFFLES and TUTUS!!  If this is a girl...game over!  I'm all over it.  Boys department, in LOVE!! Oh! I can't wait to shop!

Awesome experience #3:
A bit overwhelming, but it was def an eye opener to what we have to look forward to.  I was awe-ing and ahh-ing all over the store.  Telling Paul, we finally can buy these for our baby and seeing Paul's smile...Priceless.

We didn't buy anything, but I finally got a feel for all the things to come.  Definitely can't wait and still over the moon to be having a baby.

Baby Peanut, mommy and daddy CANNOT wait to hold you.  You're already a joy to our lives.  We love you.

"If you think I'm cute, you should see my Dad"

Exactly 7 weeks!!

Baby peanut..

Due date: September 26th, 2012

Today Paul and I went to the doctors. Got the due date and did some lab work. Extremely tired today but they said things look good. I cannot travel anymore after July 4th.

Next week will be 8 weeks and I get my first trimester check up March 12th. Hopefully then we get to see the baby or hear the heart beat. This is definitely exciting. We're having a baby!!

Paul has been so helpful and all. He takes notes and makes sure everything is ready to go. I'm so lucky! He's gonna be super daddy!

Here's a picture of what the baby will look like at 8 weeks (FYI:  this is from a magazine, not my real baby!)   It's so amazing! Baby peanut, you're already the size of a blueberry. I'm so happy!!

Bentley ... The doggie bodyguard

From the first day I found out I was pregnant, Paul and I noticed that our beloved dog, Bentley, is super attached to me. Paul use to be alpha dog but now it's me!! Haha

Bentley follows me day and night. He constantly sits on my lap and those who knows him, he's so active! He never sits still. Now, he cuddles and lays next to me. When he hears noises outside he will growl as if he's guarding me. I love it! I bet he knows his future brother/sister is coming.

Nowadays, he has nothing to do with Paul. When Paul tries to cuddle with me, Bentley will lick Paul's hand because he knows Paul hates that haha!

My doggie is the sweetest dog ever. He's so sweet and lovable. I know he's gonna love Baby Peanut and guard the baby with all his 20lbs self. Haha!

Baby Peanut....you're so loved!

Dear Baby Peanut,

You are already loved by so many people.  Everyone's so excited and we can't wait for you to grow!
Can you just somehow speed up the 9 months? haha We want to hold you already!

We are so blessed to have a wonderful family and great friends.  Mama Suu (who will be great auntie) and Cousin Mary (who will be great cousin) made you and me Banh Cam.  It was so yummy!  Def enjoyed it.  Thank you to our family at Saigon Sisters for their love of food.  Baby and I were super happy!  Food always puts a smile on mommy's face!

Also, a wonderful surprise from my dear friend Chinh..  We've been friends for almost 18 years now and I have to say I was so surprised.  Baby Peanut, she even got you swaddle blankets!  Def can't wait to use all the things.  Thank you babe!  You are so kind.  Baby loves you lots.

As for the Superbowl weekend, it was a good, yet exhausting one.  Mommy's tiredness is definitely kicking in and Baby, you definitely know how to wear me out =)  Daddy took me to Columbus (a two hour drive) Saturday night to eat Korean BBQ and then today, we went out with Uncle Ted and his friend to see some fishes in the sea at the Aquarium. Daddy is already wanting to improvise a penguin theme for you, but we shall wait and see if you're a boy or a girl.

We are getting more and more excited as the days go by.  There isn't a moment where I haven't stopped thinking of you.  I hope you enjoyed the Thai food I ate earlier.  I left the restaurant with my jeans unbuttoned.  Jeans are getting tight!!    Wednesday is the day we go to the doctors!  Can't wait to hear more great baby news!  We love you Baby Peanut bunches.

Love,
Mommy Nee and Daddy P
